Terms of Use
Effective 4 November 2026
1. The license
The TDom app is licensed to you under Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement, with Altstead LLC as the licensor. These terms add to that agreement. Any purchases are handled by Apple under its terms, and refunds are requested at reportaproblem.apple.com.
2. Driving safely
- Set up TDom, pair your car and change settings while parked. TDom locks settings and editing once the car is moving.
- Mount your phone securely where the law allows and where it doesn't block your view. Don't hold or tap your phone while driving.
- TDom is a companion display, not a certified speedometer or a safety system. Readings can be delayed, missing or wrong, for example when GPS is weak or the car connection drops.
- Your car's own displays and posted speed limits are always the reference. Speed alerts are a convenience and don't replace your attention.
3. Your car
- Only pair cars you own or are allowed to use. TDom pairs as a read-only key and can't unlock, start or control a car.
- The readings TDom can show depend on the car's model, hardware and software. Tesla can change its software at any time, which may change or stop what TDom can read. We can't promise that every car or reading is supported.
- You can remove TDom's key from your car's list of keys at any time.
4. Mileage, costs and taxes
TDom's distances, allowances, IRS rate figures and energy costs are estimates to help you keep records. They aren't tax, legal or accounting advice. You're responsible for checking your records and for what you file. Rates come from published IRS figures, and we update them in new versions of the app.
5. Trademarks
Tesla, Model 3, Model Y, Model S, Model X and Cybertruck are trademarks of Tesla, Inc. TDom is an independent app made by Altstead LLC. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Tesla, Inc. Apple Maps, Google Maps, Waze, DoorDash, Instacart and Uber Eats are trademarks of their owners and are named only to describe compatibility.
6. Open-source software
TDom includes open-source components, including TeslaBLEKeyKit (MIT License) and SwiftProtobuf (Apache License 2.0). Their notices are in the app under Settings › Open-source notices.
7. No warranty and limits of liability
We work hard to make TDom accurate and reliable, but it's provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. To the extent the law allows, Altstead LLC isn't liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, lost data, fines, tickets or tax penalties arising from using TDom, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the app. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that can't be waived.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Kansas, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where the law of your country requires otherwise.
9. Changes and contact
We may update these terms and will change the date above when we do. Questions: hello@altstead.com.
